I've noted several times over the years that Curt has created, in SS, a home for extraordinary freedom of expression. Ironically, I accuse him of ignoring the freedoms from government intrusion into the lives of US citizens guaranteed by the Bill of Rights. But, here, we are free.

He never even censors po's eff bombs, even if they pose a risk to him from Google. Several times, I've attempted to make a rhetorical point by being offensive, referring to Karine Jean-Pierre as a dangerously stupid black lesbian...without repercussions from Curt

So, gang the woke mafia that runs Country Music Television has attempted to cancel Jason Aldean's latest song. It's now Number One, of course.

I'm posting the offensive video here, without fear of cancelation.

Jason Aldean has lost the support of Country Music Television (CMT), with the network confirming to Fox News Digital it has pulled the musician's "Try That in a Small Town" music video from circulation.

In the video, Aldean's lyrics are sung while news coverage from the 2020 riots illustrates his message. "Cuss out a cop spit in his face / stomp on the flag and light it up," Aldean sings, along with footage of the described instances.

Aldean's tune has skyrocketed to success given all the controversy, sitting as iTunes' No. 1 song at the time of publication.

"There is not a single lyric in the song that references race or points to it – and there isn't a single video clip that isn't real news footage – and while I can try and respect others to have their own interpretation of a song with music – this one goes too far."

When the tune was released in May, Aldean said, "To me, this song summarizes the way a lot of people feel about the world right now. It seems like there are bad things happening on a daily basis, and that feels unfamiliar to a lot of us. This song sheds some light on that."

I heard about this and immediately went to download the video. Giving him lots of hits, too!

I guess talking about things you don't do in a small town is now illegal. And CMT of all places. I think about Brad's "This is Country Music... and we do..."

Aldean is pretty much known for not liking big cities, and seeing the great life in a small town, farm living, simple things. So no shock there. Again, the shock is that CMT fell for the wokesters. THAT is a shame.

  2. by Indy! on July 20, 2023 11:14 am

I guarantee you spit in a cop's face in the big city and you'll definitely get taken downtown and probably get your ass kicked after they lock you up.

  3. by Indy! on July 20, 2023 11:22 am

Jason Aldean lives in Macon, GA - population 156,197 according to the GA demographics linked below - 4th largest city in Georgia (larger than Savannah). Not exactly a "small town" - but what do most county music fans know outside of it aint cool to drink Bud Light anymore? 😌

I guarantee you spit in a cop's face in the big city and you'll definitely get taken downtown and probably get your ass kicked after they lock you up.

Except in NYC, LA, Detroit, StLouis, CLeveland, Portland, Seattle, etc. It's not a crime there.

  5. by Indy! on July 20, 2023 4:21 pm

You're so comically out of touch, OD. Do just a little digging and you'll find plenty examples of people getting shot for far less in all those cities. And if you ever had to deal with police on any basis other than discussing how many brown and black people you've killed in your respective careers enforcing fascist imperialism - you'd know the cops can find a "reason" to arrest you just for asking directions to the local supermarket if they're having a bad day or someone had the gall to accidentally interrupt some of their own criminal activity. I once spent the night in the clink for "verbal abuse on a police officer" which is not even a crime according to my lawyer.

  6. by oldedude on July 20, 2023 4:50 pm
Spitting on an officer is assault because transferring bodily fluids to an unwilling person is endangering their health. IF you even have a cold at that time, it's assault with intent to do bodily harm. If you "claim" to have HIV or some other deadly virus, it's assault with intent to inflict severe bodily harm or death.

You should have asked someone besides another "artist" for legal advise.

  7. by Indy! on July 20, 2023 6:54 pm

Okay so you don't understand the difference between a lawyer and an artist... Quite honestly, not unexpected. But now give us the link to the laws involving spitting on an officer and then prove to us that it's never happened in a small town.

  8. by oldedude on July 20, 2023 8:25 pm
So you don't have a defense and you divert. Okay.

    As usual.

    CMT the new Bud Light?

"What we're seeing as a trend in America is that people are exercising their free speech on businesses one way or the other," entrepreneur Ted Jenkin told Fox News Digital.

"When businesses decide to take these actions, they also need to be responsible for the consequences," Jenkin continued. "We saw it with Bud Light and other brands.

    Welcome to the real world.

Assault by Bodily Fluid, would be a 2nd-degree felony if a person intentionally or knowingly causes a law enforcement officer to come into contact with blood, seminal fluid, saliva, urine or feces, by tossing, throwing, spitting or expelling such fluid. This charge would carry a maximum penalty of 10 years imprisonment and a $25,000 fine.

Assault by Bodily Fluid with Communicable Disease makes is a felony of the first degree for a person to intentionally or knowingly cause a law enforcement officer to come into contact with blood, seminal fluid, saliva, urine, or feces by throwing, tossing, spitting, or expelling such fluid when the person knew they had HIV or another communicable disease. A felony of the first degree carries a maximum penalty of 20 years imprisonment, and a $25,000 fine.

“It’s serious business. Bodily fluids, depending what they may be carrying, Aids, Hepatitis C, is just as deadly as a knife or a bullet,” said Rep. Gillespie.

And you claim to live in FL, but that's still unknown at this time. So I provided you the Florida law. But I'd really like you to test it out, wherever you live.
Battery on a Police Officer is classified as a third degree felony. As such, the offense is punishable by up to 5 years in prison or 5 years of probation, and a $5,000 fine.

Where a defendant’s conduct constitutes Aggravated Battery, the offense is upgraded to a first degree felony, punishable by up to 30 years in prison.

Any person convicted of aggravated battery on a police officer is subject to a minimum mandatory prison sentence of 5 years. See Section 784.07(2)(d), Florida Statutes.

Police officers take an oath to protect and serve. Everyday they head out on calls not knowing what they may encounter. “A suspect they may be cut already so they may already have blood on them, and they may use that as a weapon. They definitely spit and bite us. Our officers are bitten quite often, which, then the skin is broken and the exchange of fluid takes place,” said York City Police Chief Wes Kahley.

The song is bad. Woke cancel culture is bad-der. Bahahahahahahahahahaha baha baha.

  17. by Indy! on July 22, 2023 11:30 am

I already tried it out, OD - read the whole thread before you chime in. And snowbirds like you who know nothing about Florida that you didn't google 5 minutes ago do not get to tell true Floridians what's what in my state. You're an authority on Colorado (maybe) and policing up cigarette butts on a military base. All these other things you make up are just your addled mind imagining things.

So far as the song? It's a well targeted commercial pile of crap - Hallmark music for wingnuts. Imagine Bon Jovi if he was born in Alabama.

  18. by oldedude on July 22, 2023 11:59 am
If you're a "real" floridian, then it's full of pedophiles and toothless hookers like your mom, men running around in skirts like your dad's that you hide behind so you can talk shit and run back to your daddy/mama.

  19. by Ponderer on July 22, 2023 12:00 pm

"And snowbirds like you who [...]" -Indy!

Don't snowbirds... move to cooler places in the summer...? If olde dude is a snowbird, what's he doing in Florida right now, Indy!?

  20. by HatetheSwamp on July 22, 2023 12:18 pm

In these parts, a snowbird is a northern person who goes south in the winter.

  21. by oldedude on July 22, 2023 5:24 pm
Indy. So you were born in FL? Since you have denied everything you've ever said about yourself, forgive me for calling you a liar. And unreliable for any sort of human being.

  22. by oldedude on July 22, 2023 5:37 pm
Lead- When the tune was released in May, Aldean said, "To me, this song summarizes the way a lot of people feel about the world right now. It seems like there are bad things happening on a daily basis, and that feels unfamiliar to a lot of us. This song sheds some light on that."

First, I didn't hear the song until I heard about the issues with it.

I agree with this. When people in frisco are afraid to go out of their houses during the day, that's bad. When the mayor of NYC is scared for his family to take the subway, WTF doesn't he fix the problem? Arrest a kid that was protecting people? Really? Arrest the bodega owner because he was about to be murdered by some thug so he defended himself and saved his own life? I don't get it.

Aldean sings about those of us raised in flyover states. Both coasts hate us. And that's a source of pride for small town America. The last thing we want is to be a wokester burning our cities down.

  23. by Donna on July 22, 2023 5:53 pm

Uvalde, Texas is a small town, right?

The truth is that no one is completely safe anywhere. But you can make tons of money claiming literally anything.

  24. by Indy! on July 22, 2023 7:30 pm

ODim, I bet everybody on the board - except you - knows where I was born.

  25. by oldedude on July 23, 2023 4:18 am
Perhaps, but it wasn't worth me remembering.

So you're NOT a native Floridian, Okay. So when you "talk" about YOUR Florida, you have ZERO claim to that. Got it.

  26. by Indy! on July 23, 2023 11:32 am

It's amazing how much you think you know about me when you can't even remember the simplest and most obvious fact about me. And sorry - snowbirds and carpetbaggers are not real Floridians - that includes you.

  27. by oldedude on July 23, 2023 12:46 pm
Nor are pedophiles and bad crackhead hookers. And yet there you are.

  28. by Indy! on July 23, 2023 4:26 pm

It's obvious from your obsession with the subject matter that you are the one interested in pedophilia, OD. It's embarrassing to ME that you are so open about your obsession and you WILL be arrested one day - why don't you stop ruining young boys' lives now before you end up someone's bitch in Raiford?

  29. by oldedude on July 23, 2023 6:46 pm
I wasn't the one that hated the film because it didn't show naked juveniles.

  30. by Indy! on July 23, 2023 7:54 pm

You're forgetting something here, OD. I never saw the film. So the ONLY one of us who could have been disappointed by that is... guess who. 😉

  31. by oldedude on July 24, 2023 12:18 am
But you keep saying how bad it is? I don't get that. If you didn't see it, then just STFU. I guess if I were used to living off the kindness of others, and were a leach on society, I might understand this would be a "norm." you specifically gamed the system, lied and deceived to see another movie. All of these "answers" were in line with what I thought would happen. I was disappointed more in you. I guess a serpent can only shed its skin, but underneath it's still a serpent.

  32. by Indy! on July 24, 2023 9:55 am

Yeah... the only problem with that, OD is...

    1) I never said it was a bad film - I merely copied some critic's quote off Rotten Tomatoes

    2) You ARE living off the kindness of others - they're called "taxpayers". That's who is paying for your military pension.

    3) I never "specifically gamed the system" or "lied" or "saw another movie". I merely claimed it COULD and PROBABLY IS being done.

    4) I doubt you were disappointed in me.

    5) CORRECT: A serpent can only shed it's - but underneath it's still a serpent.

Hey... good day for you, OD - 1 out of 5 correct. 😃👍

  33. by oldedude on July 24, 2023 12:20 pm
    1) I never said it was a bad film - I merely copied some critic's quote off Rotten Tomatoes
Which you didn't cite. ergo, you plagiarized and stole the information. Got it.

    2) You ARE living off the kindness of others - they're called "taxpayers". That's who is paying for your military pension.

Just like you pay for every civil servent, congressperson, politician on your state and federal level. Except the civil service cost A LOT more. I find it more than humorous that you keep bringing that up. You must feel really envious if someone actually spent 40 years working in a business and gets a retirement (which everyone who pays for that product pay for).

    3) I never "specifically gamed the system" or "lied" or "saw another movie". I merely claimed it COULD and PROBABLY IS being done.
You have admitted to sponging off of others during hurricanes. Of borrowing someone's warehouse card so you could get in and get things cheaper (which is theft). I just thought (and you confirmed) that you're nothing but a leach on society. You're expecting something for free.

    4) I doubt you were disappointed in me.
I think just more sad that you think so little of yourself that everything's a hustle to you. It's a complete lack of integrity.

  34. by Indy! on July 24, 2023 3:48 pm

    1) As I said before, ODorous - look up the big words before using them. I didn't "plagiarize" anything. And beyond that - I DID cite the source.

    2) The difference is other civil servants actually PRODUCE something for their taxpayers dollars. They're not just blowing shit up and giving away our lethal weapons to terrorists.

    3) I didn't sponge off anyone during hurricanes. I live in a condo - we help each other out. I gave stuff to people that they needed and they gave me stuff I needed. You know that "neighbor" thing you claim never happens in the big city. 😂

I didn't say anything about a "warehouse card" (whatever that is).

You're the leech on society - you got a lifetime of free room and board from us taxpayers and now you're getting a retirement pension too. OTOH, I contributed to society by creating a business, creating my own job leaving a job opening for someone else.

    4) The guy who pretends like family is sacred and then turns around and calls my parents crackheads or child abusers. "Integrity" is yet another big word you need to look up in the dictionary before using it. 🙄

  35. by oldedude on July 24, 2023 4:31 pm
    1) As I said before, ODorous - look up the big words before using them. I didn't "plagiarize" anything. And beyond that - I DID cite the source.
Once, but continued the fight without citing. So either it was your opinion, or not.

    2) The difference is other civil servants actually PRODUCE something for their taxpayers dollars. They're not just blowing shit up and giving away our lethal weapons to terrorists
I didn't give anything away, neither did the rest of the military. That was under presidential control. Talk to your buddy, pedojoe. What I produced was saving lives. One of our squadrons was going through NOLA first fetching live people (because we have rotary-wing), then going into that old folks home and pulled out bodies. We did the same thing in India, the Mayley peninsula, the Tsunami in Japan, and other places around the world. One of our squadrons was picking up "debris" from KAL007 for the families and FAA.

    3) I didn't sponge off anyone during hurricanes. I live in a condo - we help each other out. I gave stuff to people that they needed and they gave me stuff I needed. You know that "neighbor" thing you claim never happens in the big city.

I didn't say anything about a "warehouse card" (whatever that is). You said that you "borrowed" either a sams or costco club card from friends if you want to get something.

You're the leech on society - you got a lifetime of free room and board from us taxpayers and now you're getting a retirement pension too. OTOH, I contributed to society by creating a business, creating my own job leaving a job opening for someone else.
Oh, don't forget about substandard pay (an E5, a supervisor with a spouse and two kids can draw SNAP/food stamps), long hours, moving every two years, etc. Also, see #2.

    4) The guy who pretends like family is sacred and then turns around and calls my parents crackheads or child abusers. "Integrity" is yet another big word you need to look up in the dictionary before using it.
And yet you ask for more of it. I warned you four times. You were actually "livable" for about a day, then you asked for it again. And you haven't stopped. I have no reason not to treat you any other way. And I'm pretty sure people are sick of it. Your choice.

  36. by Indy! on July 25, 2023 7:08 pm

    1) Again - learn the meaning of the word. I cited the website when I used - something that is not even required on the internet.

    2) So you finally admit it - your "job" WAS cleaning up debris.

    3) Nope. Never happened. I had a BJ's or a Sam's card once and only used it one time. They got $25 for letting me shop there ONE TIME. If anyone got "ripped off" in that transaction - it was me.

    4) What kind of pay do you expect for marching in a straight line and picking up debris?

    5) You "warned" me of what? That you were going to reveal your true colors? That you're an asshole with no integrity who's happy to attack someone's family with lies borne from your own sick, twisted childhood? If you think that's a threat you're even dumber than I thought.

  37. by oldedude on July 26, 2023 9:55 am
I'm only going to address this single issue because it also involves the rest of your posts.

    2) So you finally admit it - your "job" WAS cleaning up debris.

    de·bris
    [dəˈbrē, ˌdāˈbrē]
    NOUN
scattered pieces of waste or remains:
"the bomb hits it, showering debris from all sides" ·
"clean away any collected dust or debris"
synonyms: detritus · refuse · waste · litter · scrap

You cherry picked a part of one sentence to argue with me. You didn't have anything more than that. What is the most revolting thing that you said was to link debris from a civilian aircraft that was shot out of the sky with the people in it. Here's how this mission went. "Debris" in this case were parts of the aircraft, luggage, and scattered human remains before they were devoured by the aquatic life. Something as small as fingers, heads, arms, and anything else had to be catalogued with an exact location so the investigators could understand how the crash happened and to link the body parts to give the families something to bury.

So in you "making a joke" or trying to "prove a point," you just showed me you're no more feeling or empathetic than the guards at Treblinka or Auschwitz who considered Jews, gays, "artists," and others as "things" or trash.

It didn't dawn on me you could be more repulsive than I already thought of you. You should work for Wagner, that skillset could get you a long way with them.

  38. by Indy! on July 26, 2023 1:54 pm

Nope, you aint getting off of that easy, OD. I'm not the one attacking your family. I couldn't care less about your army shit - you volunteered for it. Once your in, you do whatever job they give you so don't act like you're some kind of helpful person doing it out of the generosity of your black heart. You're doing it because you were ORDERED to do it. You didn't join to help victims of a plane crash - you joined to shoot brown people. Now you're acting like you're Mother Theresa or something when all you are is a welfare queen who didn't understand he was signing up for a dirty job. 😂
