How often have you heard somebody say that the January 6 Committee didn't prove anything and was a waste of time? With today's news, it appears the DOJ was listening and convinced.

Last December 19th, the January 6 select House committee voted to refer former President Donald Trump to the Department of Justice for criminal investigation and potential prosecution for trying to overturn the 2020 election.

The criminal referral of Trump accused him of obstructing an official proceeding, conspiracy to defraud the government, and inciting or assisting an insurrection. That's three distinct charges. It will be interesting to see how many charges Jack Smith actually charges Trump with.

Also interesting to me is that we haven't heard if Trump's top lieutenants, Rudy Giuliani, John Eastman, Sydney Powell, et al received target letters. Those people are certainly deep inside the conspiracy below targeted Trump but above the convicted Proud Boys. If any of those names are not being indicted, I infer from that that they flipped and agreed to be witnesses against Trump.

That's the beauty of believing in a constitutional Republic. EVERYONE gets a fair trial. Especially those tried for political crimes. Like Lead, I'm not pro trumpster, but he deserves a fair trial according to our laws. The royal "you" don't believe in fair trials. You want the people you like to be let go (and of course, if they're found guilty, it was because the jury was rigged, or the judge was crooked. And y'all can't believe that just because the cops violated the law to get evidence they let a person you hate, go free! But you (personally) aren't the only one doing this. curt believes that evidence from banking records are "hearsay" evidence, even though every court in the nation disagrees with him.
