Why did the FBI withhold the FD-1023 from Congress?
The the FD-1023 is the form special agents use to record raw, unverified reporting from confidential human sources (CHSs). FD-1023s merely document that information; they do not reflect the conclusions of investigators based on a fuller context or understanding. Recording this information does not validate it, establish its credibility, or weigh it against other information known or developed by the FBI in our investigations.

Protecting this type of information from wider disclosure is crucial to our ability to recruit sources and ensure the safety of the source or others mentioned in the reporting. CHSs are critical to cases across all FBI programs -- whether it's violent crime, drug cartels, or terrorism. It would be difficult to effectively recruit these sources if we can't assure them of their confidentiality. See socxfbi.org link

Why did the FBI's Washington field office conduct the raid of Mar-a-Lago, in a break from standard practice?
It was not break with standard practice in cases where secret and classified documents are held intentionally and unlawfully. Trump did not respond truthfully to prior requests for the classified documents he took. There was probable cause so a search warrant was issued.

Why did the FBI limit the number of witnesses who IRS investigators could contact during the Hunter Biden investigation?
They didn't. The spoke to the appropriate number of relevant witnesses.

What has the FBI done to investigate attacks on anti-abortion centers and churches?
For example, the FBI investigated attacks against anti-abortion centers in cases with Jane's Revenge claiming responsibility. See News Nation link.

Are agents who worked on the Russia investigation still at the FBI?
Yes. See FBI link below.

How closely has the FBI worked with social media companies to censor speech?
They didn't censor. The FBI has advised. The FBI has tipped off social media to Russian troll farms masquerading as news organizations posting disinformation on Facebook, etc. See Daily Beast link.

Has Merrick Garland ever asked you to stand down on an investigative step?
Never for reasons of protecting Joe Biden or the Biden family.

Apparently, Curt, that EXAMINER article got under the skin, eh?

I won't watch any of it. We are getting past the point that even the best Dem Good Germaning won't help much. If the HouseGOPs decide they won the day, they won.

No matter what Rachel says...or ignores.

"If the HouseGOPs decide they won the day, they won." --HtS

You mean like Trump, who still claims he won the 2020 election.

Why did the FBI withhold the FD-1023 from Congress?
Wray said he would disclose the document. Then he said he wouldn't. Then he said maybe, then he just flat refused. It would be good to get him under oath to say why he refused a subpoena. The document is UNCLASSIFIED. The DOJ/FBI could have classified it when it was written if that were the case.

Why did the FBI's Washington field office conduct the raid of Mar-a-Lago, in a break from standard practice?
It was a break of protocol. I think DOJ/FBI did it for grandstanding. I'm not too worried about this. He can lie his way through it as usual.

Why did the FBI limit the number of witnesses who IRS investigators could contact during the Hunter Biden investigation?
They didn't. Several witnesses congress is going to call have relevant information IF the DOJ/FBI were actually building a valid case they never called.

What has the FBI done to investigate attacks on anti-abortion centers and churches?
That's pretty interesting because conservatives were charged with federal crimes for stepping in, and pro-life offices were firebombed. I guess there's no distinction in your life.

Are agents who worked on the Russia investigation still at the FBI?
So agents that LIED to federal courts, investigated with known illegal evidence, and violated standard practices of evidence collection are still working? THAT NEEDS TO END. If your son did that, he'd be perp walked out of IA in about two minutes.

How closely has the FBI worked with social media companies to censor speech?
This is like the old "beat 'em with a phone book" ploy. Or from the other side, a guy comes in, explains how you need to pay "Lefty" and let's you stay open. (RE: Musk in an earlier thread)

Has Merrick Garland ever asked you to stand down on an investigative step?
As far as you "feel." AND we know pedojr has threatened other major players, members of the CCP, Ukrainian officials, etc. Right now there are about a half-dozen whistle blowers that are either set up to testify, or have already testified their superiors told them NOT to work on certain aspects. Aspects that are turning out to be major breeches in the case.

And the whole idea is to get Wray sworn in to catch him in a lie, (or better yet) or tell the truth and implicate others.

  5. by Curt_Anderson on July 10, 2023 3:07 pm
Wray promised he would disclose the documents to James Comer and the top Democrat on the committee, Rep. Jamie Raskin. Wray did just that. They received a briefing from senior FBI officials and reviewed the document, known as an FD-1023, in a secure room at the Capitol.

Wray never said he'd make it public or share it with all of Congress.

  6. by Indy! on July 10, 2023 3:24 pm

Yes, Curt, but the FBI purposely did not question anyone on SelectSmart.com Post about Hunter Biden's (alleged) illegal activities. 🧐

Okay, and still lots of questions according to CNN. It's worth the subpoena for him to appear.

I'm also sure there was a discussion regarding referencing the document in an open-source environment. So there should be some ground rules.

  10. by Curt_Anderson on July 10, 2023 6:48 pm
No doubt Chris Wray will attempt to explain those ground rules to the committee. Expect him to say what you can read at this link.

There's also nuance rules, what questions you can ask about the document without mentioning the document. So even indirectly, some questions are going to be off limits. And this is going to be a negotiation.

  12. by Indy! on July 10, 2023 8:32 pm

All for naught because even if by some miracle Trump is convicted of anything - Biden will pardon him.
