This is being widely reported. I don't know if it's made its way to CNN, MSNBC, PBS or NPR.

Long article.

To all you progressive SwampLovers: Chuck Grassley ain't James Comer or Jim Jordan. He's respected by many Dems.

pb's been able to be cynical about most GOP claims, as he's said. But, this seems real.

Also, pb's boycott of Fox continues. He's unwavering but, Benny Johnson? Nah. He's solid.

The FBI has a document detailing a 'criminal scheme' where Joe Biden gave a foreign national cash for access when he was vice president, Republicans said in a bombshell development in the investigation into the president's family.

A whistleblower has come forward with stunning claims that a file 'includes a precise description of how the alleged criminal scheme (involving Biden) was employed as well as its purpose', top GOP members of the House and Senate have said.

Senator Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa and House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer, R-Ky., have now issued a subpoena to the FBI demanding the internal document be handed over.

In a letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland and FBI Director Chris Wray Wednesday obtained by DailyMail.com, the top Republicans state that due to 'credible' whistleblower disclosures, they are seeking access to an internal 'FBI-generated FD-1023 form' through a subpoena.

    From Grassley himself:

"I believe the FBI possesses an unclassified internal document that includes very serious & detailed allegations implicating the current President of the United States. What we don’t know is what, if anything, the FBI has done to verify these claims or investigate further."

  2. by Curt_Anderson on May 3, 2023 2:39 pm
CNN covered the story with some skepticism worthy of Grassley's "I believe", and "What we don’t know is what, if anything" allegations.

  3. by HatetheSwamp on May 3, 2023 3:05 pm

    "The unverified allegation..."

If you're able, think about how Trump phobic CNN is and how it's commentators so readily reach for the TP every time the Flatulent Fool lets one fly.

Yeah. There's some small reason to doubt until the fibbies produce the documents...if they do.

But, Chuck Grassley ain't Comer or Jordan or MTG.

At this point ol pb'll be waaaaaaay more surprised than not if this comes to nuthin.

You must be in constant state of surprise. It's been five or so years since Trump's "perfect phone call" with Zelenskyy when he made military assistance to Ukraine conditional upon "I would like you to do us a favor though". Other than Trump's first impeachment, nothing has come of it.

That's because there was nothing wrong with what he said. It's really as simple as that. The "impeachment" vote was strictly party line vote. Which even Zelinsky was questioning our motives in the impeachment. And of course, you always leave out the pedojoe quid pro quo that he boasted about. He admitted to withholding congressionally dictated funds for a personal request. THAT is a quid pro quo, or maybe extortion/ bribery. "I will withhold something of value unless I get something else of value. The VP didn't have that power. At all.

It's good to see you still hold your jackbooted thuggery staunch in your well starched underwear. Please goosestep away!

    Amazing! Still...

...the only defense that Curt can offer for "that feckless dementia-ridden piece of crap" is:

    Trump Trump Trump is bad.
    Nasty things Trump did.
    Carefully carefully do we watch.
    Nuthin will be hid.

I know that the Dems have been ingenious at fiddling with ballots since Tammany Hall but, with the mountain of Hunter evidence and the cognitive decline [and the election is still 18 months away], I just can't see Biden being immaculated in January 025.

  8. by oldedude on May 4, 2023 3:23 am
So back to the whistleblower. If this were about Trump, he be all over it. "It's a whistleblower, therefore it's FACT and sounding a lot like little shifty.

  9. by HatetheSwamp on May 4, 2023 3:55 am

    Of course he would.

And, Maxine Watters and AOC and her squad and Adam Schiff would be ranting and raving and pitchin hissies...

...and po, isle (linking to Heather) and Curt, et.al. would be orgasmic...

...and we'd be laughing at them.

  10. by HatetheSwamp on May 4, 2023 5:30 am

The point, Curt, and y'all, at the moment, is that this particular whistle-blower is credible. And, so is Chuck Grassley.

On the video, you will see the House GOP say that the impeachment of President Clouseau is a possibility.

I think that's been the plan from the beginning. Hold hearings at a snail's pace. Wrap them up in the fall, then begin to inch toward impeachment hearings...if there's enough votes from within the GOP House members, the GOP being the home of openness and acceptance, inclusion and tolerance, diversity...and FREEDOM.

BTW, pb has been on the fence about boycotting Fox Business, which is merely conservative CNBC. Hence, the Fox Business video:

"That's because there was nothing wrong with what he said." -olde dude

Oh there was something wrong with what he said, od. There was something felonious about what he said. A LOT of something.

Olde dude, on that phone call and while others were direct ear witnesses to what he was saying to Zelenskyy, he flat-out solicited a thing of value regarding an American election from a foreign entity. That is a felony. We've even posted the exact statute he violated several times already. It was why he was legitimately impeached. And if the MAGA Republican majority hadn't been the selfish, machiavellian sociopaths that they are, and if they had given a flying rat's ass about this country, they would have found him as guilty of his blatant high crimes as he blatantly was and rightly ousted his fat orange ass out of office.

He directly threatened Zelenskyy that unless he went and found him some made up bullshit about Biden that he could use against him in the upcoming election, he may not get the arms our government had already agreed to give him for. Does he think he's Vito Corleone or something???

He is on tape a few years later similarly and just as feloniously begging state officials to "find him" votes that never existed. Several of them in fact. He's got a pretty blatant and long standing MO here, od. It's never been much of a secret. He has gotten where he is by getting other people to do his dirty work and take the fall for it. And if he needs to beg them to commit crimes for him, he does it.

And here you guys are, bitching and whining about Hillary's emails. Oh wait. I mean Biden's son in law's multi-billion dollar real estate deals with the Saudi Prince. Oh wait, I mean Biden's son's dealings with a company in China that are mentioned in some laptop. It's his laptop, right?

You flaming hypocrites are the worst. But hey, carry on. I'm sure the two of you will author reams of worthless, meaningless banter between the two of you for the rest of the thread...

Republican senator believes in guilty until proven innocent.

Josh Hawley promoted the latest allegations the GOP has cooked up against Joe Biden. The senator was asked if he had any information. He responded:

"I do not. I don't have any information on what the whistleblower has alleged in terms of the substantive allegations. Other than that, there is documentation that the FBI guy has. And I just say to those Democrats out there screaming about how, 'Joe Biden is innocent, Joe Biden hasn't done anything.' Fine, then show us what you know. Show us what the evidence is of the allegations. Don't be afraid of what the facts are."

Right. If Josh Hawley, not Chuck Grassley, were behind this, you'd have something.

No more than shifty (who got booted off his committees because of his usual "we have absolute PROOF of crimes were involved. which wouldn't have ever stood up in a real court. The Sauds court system is more even handed than that debacle was.

Ted Cruz: Allegations Against Biden Could 'Absolutely' Lead to Impeachment

While appearing on Fox News' "Hannity," Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) on Wednesday did not mince words when it comes to how severe the consequences could be if the latest recent allegations brought forth against President Joe Biden turn out to be true. In response to host Sean Hannity asking if the DOJ and FBI possessing information on then Vice President Biden and a "foreign national" would amount to "a high crime and misdemeanor," Cruz answered that "it absolutely would." The senator also pointed out that bribery is "explicitly noted in the Constitution" when it comes to impeaching the president.

Cruz went on mention "I gotta say, the evidence, not only against Hunter Biden, but the evidence against Joe Biden being complicit and profiting from this corruption is growing, and growing, and growing."

So. My thoughts. I realize this "Whistleblower" is an unnamed source (which is lawful and correct by law. I'm not a huge fan of this coming out before all the prelim stuff is done. It creates just what we have here. I am not skeptical, but perhaps more wait and see. Yes. A few, a happy few are privy to this information now. So they get to drive the media.

I liked the GOPs methods before. Quiet. They would have done this work behind closed doors. They would have done this with no fanfare. But that's politics. Everything that's done, is done for a reason to be revealed down the road.

Again, my preference would be to wait until the dims were established in their pedojoe rerun, spent all the millions of dollars in his reelection campaign, and then crumbled it before their eyes. Make it too late for another candidate to make much of an impact on the election.

The other side of this is to have viable criminal acts, cited by law for DOJ to be handed with valid evidence that could take down the teflon don. NOT do what the dims did. Look for something illegal and come up with zero.

  25. by oldedude on May 5, 2023 3:50 am
What you wanna bet. po's still holding grudges over things that happened during recess on the playground in first grade.

Lead- I will bet against that. I think it's something deeper than that. Something that made (and still makes) her feel powerless. She still doesn't get that she'd get her power back by not being a nasty human being. So this is what we're left with. She's also a victim of her own life. Things "making" her do things or feel things. She doesn't have her own power to let things go (ergo, the analogy was pretty spot on).
