I shared the following story with my friends asking, "I wonder what these nuts thought they were protesting..."

PHOENIX, Ore. -- A group of people protested during a Pollinator Project Rogue Valley event on Sunday.

During the event, they planned to present part two of their series about increasing the butterfly population in urban and rural communities.

The incident is currently under investigation, according to Jennifer Shook, the chief of police for the City of Talent Police Department.

Newswatch 12 was told by one of the members of the Pollinator Project that they are unsure what the people were protesting about, and they also did not know who the protesters were.

One of my friends wrote back:
"I read this and cannot think of a less threatening group than butterfly advocates. Power to the pupae!"

Yeah, I thought maybe there was some "issue" going on with them, even fictional. Nada. Butterflies and bees are friends. I don't have a clue why you would "protest" any of this...

    od ~

We have some large patches of Milkweed growing on our property and we encourage them to help the Monarch butterfly population recover!

Our neighbor is a beekeeper so we let our open areas turn into a filed of dandelions in the spring so his bees can collect the pollen. Of course we benefit too since he keeps us supplied with honey!

I hope the protesters don't hear about this !!!
