Several issues of intense interest to pb converged lately when the Anheuser-Busch world exploded over Alissa Heinerscheid and her anti "fratty" Bud Light drinker rant and her Dylan Mulvaney campaign to corner the trans beer drinker market.
I've been posting feverishly, as is obvious...but I'd already been posting about trans political rhetoric for weeks.
Since LGBT Pride Month last year, I'd been noting that I was seeing a backlash building against the whole LGBT thing as we've known it in recent years. I mentioned what I observed from listening to openly gay, extremely conservative, transparently Republican Guy Benson's handling of Pride Month on his drive time Fox News Radio show.
It was then that I began to realize that all's not well in LGBT-land. Benson's show is about the Fox brand of Republican politics but "that gay Guy Curt never heard of" mentions his sexuality regularly, normally once a week or more...not so much with pride but with a confidence that who he is as a gay man is something conservative Republicans, even at Fox, accept.
And,...
...from, time to time, it became clear to me that he's uncomfortable with, and not supportive of, drag queens being featured at story hour in PUBLIC libraries and other ways that queers attempt to sexualize young children.
Since last Pride Month, I began to follow Libs of TikTok on Twitter, watching her videos of trans people openly, as a matter of conscience, essentially PREACHING THE TRANS GOSPEL to young children.
And, of course, eventually, I discovered the organization GAG, i.e., Gays Against Groomers.
As early as last Pride Month, I began to suggest here that Lesbians, Gays and Bisexuals are pulling away from all varieties of the Trans and, certainly, from Queer communities.
So yesterday, I checked out the Megyn Kelly podcast because I saw that she was going to opine about the Bud Light story. I hung on after that into her conversation with Michael Knowles only to hear what no one else I know of but me has said out loud: The LGBs are okay in most people's minds, but not the TQs.
Oy.
And, Knowles agreed.
So, gang, pb's a straight male. He reads some of the angry tweets on the GAG Twitter feed and on the GAG website, vitriol directed toward the trans community and pb's lost. It's all INSIDE BASEBALL stuff to him. He's not LGBT. He's lost. But, he knows anger...even hate...when he reads it.
What pb knows is that it's there. It really exists. There's serious animus within the LGBT world. Is every LGB pissed at all TQs. Obviously not. But, it's there.
I have cautioned our own trans people to back off from the hate-laced accusation that every supporter of legislation to protect parents and children from trans grooming and recruiting in public schools is a "Christian theocrat."
Come to find out that some of the people who confront the powers that be at public school board meetings over trans abuses are members of LGB members of GAG and they certainly don't want to turn this into a Christian nation.
So, there it is.
Life in the LGBT world these days is dynamic. There's nothing more compelling politically these days than the convergence of nearly everything...even BEER...around the trans political agenda.
po. pt. Personally, I wish you well. You are truly in the eye of a Category 5 storm.
