All the progressives I know personally are hoity toity. Snobs. Holier-than-thou. As Rush would have said, "The arts and croissants crowd." No offense but here on SS that seems to fit. po and pt. isle. All come across to me that way. Curt, yeah, but not as much. Can you imagine po, pt or isle telling me the number of their favorite NASCAR driver?
Beer, in America, historically, ain't for hoity toities. American snobs are never going to groove on beer...even IPAs/craft beers.
Beer has its place in America, for sure.
Where? NASCAR. College football, especially, SEC and ACC football. To a lesser extent, B10, Big 12. Also, MLB. And college basketball, particularly March Madness.
So,...
If you're tasked with restoring Bud Light to it's former SPUDS MCKENZIE glory days, it just seems to pb that you begin by enhancing your appeal to the NASCAR and SEC and ACC gangs and go from there.
Check out the first 4ish minutes of the video. It contains both the ridiculously offensive Dylan Mulvaney March Madness ad and Alissa Heinerscheid's insult-to-hell the people who still drank...past tense, drank... your product, since Bud Light's drinkers ran as soon as they found out what Anheuser-Busch thinks of them.
Can someone splain to me how Anheuser-Busch thought this could go any other way?
Stephen Covey's leadership classic, SEVEN HABITS OF HIGHLY EFFECTIVE PEOPLE, admonishes, "Begin with the end in mind."
What end could Heinerscheid and Anheuser-Busch have had in mind!!!!!? How could they imagine that the demeaning and belittling of people who care about college basketball would have not been offensive?
How could they have thought that their current customers would not have been driven away?
Who might Heinerscheid have imagined would now start drinking Bud Light? po, pt? Say it ain't so, po.
Do the Dylan Mulvaney's hijinks entice you?
As you old-timers here know, pb is for one thing, i.e., liberty, freedom. The Bill of Rights. And, because of that, he hates two things: the Swamp. And, wokeness.
This Mulvaney, Heinerscheid, Anheuser-Busch thing is wokeness going crazy. Books will be written about it for decades to come. Alissa Heinerscheid is a name that will go down in marketing infamy.
Still, honestly. If you have ideas about what could have led to this disaster, fill me in.
My own subjectivity is so filled with hate of wokeness that my brain is frozen. So, fill me in.
