A special thank you to "that feckless dementia-ridden piece of crap."

Tuesday's order, which is effectively immediately, completed all the restrictions the Taliban imposed on Afghan woman's life in the 1990s, taking Afghanistan and Afghan women nearly three decades back.

"Based on cabinet decision…education for women is suspended until further notice," reads the statement tweeted by ministry spokesman Hafiz Hashimi. "The decision should be implemented immediately."

The Taliban captured power over 15 months ago and immediately deprived girls of their fundamental rights by banning secondary education for grades six and above. But women were allowed to attend universities in a gender-segregated class. No country in the world currently recognizes the Taliban government.

You should also thank the guy you voted for twice. After all, pulling out was his idea.

Apparently 20 years wasn't long enough for the Afghans to realize the value of educating females. A military occupation doesn't seem to an effective tool for convincing people to change their culture.

Question: How many Americans and American allies have died in Afghanistan in the last 15 months?
    Answer: none.

    Thank you President Biden!

US-trained Afghan commando 'expected a hero's welcome,' now imprisoned facing deportation at Texas border
"An elite Afghan commando trained by U.S. forces has been imprisoned in Texas for crossing the southern border seeking asylum in the country he once fought alongside.

Abdul Wasi Safi went into hiding when the last U.S. plane left Afghanistan after Kabul's fall in August 2021 and ventured across two continents in hopes of earning a special immigrant visa to reside in the U.S. legally.

Instead, he was arrested at the border trying to cross the Rio Grande. With the Taliban hunting him, he could face certain death if his deportation is carried out.

"After the collapse of Afghanistan, it was very hard for my brother to survive and not be captured by the Taliban," Sami-ullah Safi, Wasi's brother and a former translator for U.S. troops, said Monday on "America's Newsroom."

"My brother had to go into hiding from one place to another and, finally, he was in a place where there was nowhere to hide… my brother knew that if he was captured he would be killed, immediately, just like so many other Afghan special forces."

Sami told anchor Dana Perino he is saddened by the animosity Wasi has received since being arrested at the southern border, adding that his brother expected to receive a hero's welcome upon arriving in the U.S. and proving his identity.

Hopefully things will get sorted out for Abdul Wasi Safi. His brother Sami made it here okay.

"During the conflict there, the U.S. issued special visas to more than 34,000 Afghans who qualified for various reasons — including Sami, who in 2015 moved to Houston. Sami, 29, had been working side by side with the U.S. military as an interpreter for special forces in Afghanistan. For years, he traveled between the two countries and in July 2021 was granted full U.S. citizenship.

But thousands like Wasi, 26, who had helped U.S. forces — but were not paid by the U.S. government — were left behind with few options to escape. With a Taliban target on their backs, many went into hiding as reports of revenge killings grew."

These are the people that were left as trash. I already explained how much better this could have been done had pedojoe listened to the JCS.

  6. by oldedude on December 20, 2022 2:05 pm
We're also going to start seeing women killed much more again. They already shot about a half dozen, but I think that number is up now. The football field used for killings turned in to a football field while we were there is now a killing ground again.

  7. by Donna on December 20, 2022 2:12 pm

The taliban would still be banning women and girls from attending universities in Afghanistan regardless of how the US left.

  8. by oldedude on December 20, 2022 3:29 pm
So you're saying since it didn't matter, he chose to have a goatfuk for fun. Got it.

But we would have gotten the vetted people out, and not a bunch that were handpicked from the Taliban.

Case in point. Who did pedojoe have running the entry points? Our enemy. Who did they let through? Their friends.

  9. by Donna on December 20, 2022 4:25 pm

No, that's not what I'm saying. I'm staying within the context of the topic title.

The Trump administration in February 2020 negotiated a withdrawal agreement with the Taliban that excluded the Afghan government, freed 5,000 imprisoned Taliban soldiers and setting May 2021, for the final withdrawal.

The Trump administration kept to the pact, reducing U.S. troop levels from about 13,000 to 2,500, even though the Taliban continued to attack Afghan government forces and welcomed al-Qaeda terrorists into the Taliban leadership.

Biden delayed the May withdrawal that he inherited. But ultimately his administration pushed ahead with a plan to withdraw by Aug. 31.

On July 1, 2020, the US House Armed Services Committee overwhelmingly voted in favor of an amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act to restrict President Trump's ability to withdraw US troops from Afghanistan below the 8,600 that had been acted on.

On 20 January 2021, at the inauguration of Joe Biden, there were 2,500 US soldiers still in Afghanistan. Biden's national security adviser, Jake Sullivan, said that the administration would review the withdrawal agreement.

I really don't care about the date. I care about the 15 Marines that were murdered. I care about those that worked along side of us that were thrown away like trash. But I guess for many, they're just worthless little brown people, so they don't matter.

  12. by Curt_Anderson on December 20, 2022 6:21 pm
"I care about the 15 Marines that were murdered" --OD

I think you mean I care ONLY about the 13 Marines that were murdered on the final day of our withdrawal. You don't apparently care about the 2,461 US fatalities in Afghanistan over those 20 years, which includes 1,928 killed in action. The numbers don't count those who died at home as a result of being in Afghanistan. You also don't seem to care about an estimated 150-200 soldiers who didn't die in Afghanistan because Biden elected not to prolong the war.

  13. by HatetheSwamp on December 21, 2022 4:27 am

BTW, pb's been clear. He disagrees with OrangeMan's handling of Afghanistan, too. However, "that feckless dementia-ridden piece of crap's," handling of the withdrawal...

...and make no mistake about it, President Clouseau was christened "that feckless dementia-ridden piece of crap" because of his immoral bungling of the withdrawal from Afghanistan and, by the mother of a soldier slaughtered as a result of the Flatulent Fool's incompetence,...is among the darkest moments of presidential leadership in our history.

So, yeah. The Afghanistan debacle was a tag team effort by President Former Trucker and OrangeMan. But, "that feckless dementia-ridden piece of crap's" performance was historically tragic and reprehensible. Millions of women are suffering.

Lead- permission to use a metaphor.

"You don't apparently care about the 2,461 US fatalities in Afghanistan over those 20 years, which includes 1,928 killed in action. The numbers don't count those who died at home as a result of being in Afghanistan. You also don't seem to care about an estimated 150-200 soldiers who didn't die in Afghanistan because Biden elected not to prolong the war."

Firstly, I have never said I didn't want out of Afghanistan. I've never disagreed with the timing. My disdain is the METHOD he used to do this mission. You really need to understand that. I've only said it every time you bring this up. He needed to listen to the JCS. They know how to do this, but he couldn't wait the time to do it right.

So yet again, we leave a country on the "skids of our helicopters" as the Russians said on their news. They were laughing at us again for being cowards and emboldened them to go into Ukraine. I agree with them. So many better ways to do this.

Sadly, you have no understanding of how I feel about this. While you, in your infinite "wisdom," only look at the numbers, I actually know names of many of those killed, wounded, and left to die by our government. My youngest son was wounded three times in that shthole of a country.

I honestly don't think you have the capability of actual compassion. You look at "numbers." It's horrible. So you know only that. It's the chirp of a Turkey Vulture. Happy they died, picking at the meat others like you didn't get to yet, so you had more of an (im)moral stance. You're proud you can feign this to make you feel good about how you feel.

This is something you've never smelled the stench of. To look for a family that was helping the US and finding all eight of them rotting inside. Dad beheaded, mother had her last child cut out of her, and the kids in various stages of torture. Where the wolves had already been there for a while and the bodies are half eaten.

When you quit talking about the "numbers" on your spreadsheet, we can talk about it. Otherwise, please don't "assume" I don't care this.

Just to be clear, your quote is of Curt, Biden butt boy and Good German.

I don't have your intimate connection to the conflict but I, also, am offended by Curt's cold approach to the issue. I can't ever be certain that Curt's be serious these days, or if he's just joshin us these days. But, he's despicable on this one.

  16. by oldedude on December 21, 2022 6:54 am
He keeps the same attack every time. I remember in "Renaissance Man," Danny DiVito talked to the officer about how he marched against Vietnam and wore a bracelet of one of the missing for a year so he "knew" what it was all about. The officer simply asked, "what was the name on the bracelet?" DiVito didn't know.

Both of the boys have a set of pictures that only they look at. These are pictures of guys being guys at Ft Bragg or Twentynine Palms, Iraq or Afghanistan and a lot of the guys that died either on that tour or one of them after. That hurt is something no one can understand unless you were there. So I just let them talk if they want. You know what's going on when their voice gets hollow, and they get the stare.

  17. by oldedude on December 21, 2022 10:53 pm
curt will never have the stare. He's a poser. I'm good with that, except the "assumes" he knows me and one hundred thousand others+ he never wants to admit of. He wants to be a "man" when in fact he's led his life as a shell of that.
