Hand it to ex-President Donald Trump to present exactly the wrong takeaway to The Twitter Files: “A Massive Fraud of this type and magnitude allows for the termination of all rules, regulations, and articles, even those found in the Constitution,” he posted Friday night.

No, it doesn’t...

That is, in a (completely imaginary) world where Trump somehow today finally produced actual proof of all his wild 2020 ballot-box-stuffing claims, Joe Biden would still be our legitimate president (though it’d certainly bring a vast political firestorm).

Not to mention the simple fact that neither Twitter nor the rest of the mainstream media (social and old-school) did anything illegal in suppressing our Hunter Biden laptop reporting: They simply failed their own expressed principles (not remotely for the first or last time). Americans’ rights to a free press, and free speech, allow for all manner of mis- and even dis-information.

It’s entirely possible that the active-duty FBI agents who prepared the ground for the suppression were engaged in criminal activity, abusing the powers of their office...

P.S.: We’re also still outraged at the suppression of our early commentary on the possibility that COVID started at that Wuhan lab. But we’re not demanding any do-overs — we just want the rest of the press to do better next time.

pb has two comments on this:

    1. The NYP is exactly right. There may be very little actual crime in what Musk exposed. But the collusion between the "that feckless dementia-ridden piece of crap's" campaign and the Dems along with social media platforms and the SwampMedia is a historical atrocity.

    2. Trump’s illustrating the difference between the antiSwamp and the MAGAs. The antiSwamp gets that that collusion thingy is absolutely filthy but the MAGAs, some of em, would set aside the Constitution.

    Hate ~

😀 Smiley said to ask you if you "REALLY" believe all the malarkey you post here so I will..."Do you really believe all the tall tales and fantasies that you post here?"

Then I have another question..."Are your beliefs and pb's beliefs the same?

If there are any differences, it could really get interesting to hear you and pb arguing with each other! 🤣

  3. by HatetheSwamp on December 5, 2022 9:16 am

pb is me (though that's poor grammar. Poetic license and all.)

pb will own to cutting back on his own subjectivity at times because all you Blue MAGAs here are so steeped in progressive Swampcult propaganda that he assumes that, "You can't handle the truth."

But, understand. Most of what pb posts here is objective, verifiable truth, no belief, not opinion.

Regarding Huntergate, all I can say is that this definitely was not the first time the US media suppressed a potentially damaging story about a presidential candidate. Case in point:

Ronald Reagan’s “October Surprise” Plot Was Real After All

A batch of quietly released documents confirms what many have long suspected: Ronald Reagan’s 1980 presidential campaign worked behind the scenes to delay the release of US hostages in Iran, for the benefit of Reagan’s election campaign. It raises the question: When was the last time a Republican won a presidential election without the help of dirty tricks?

And then more recently the FBI, not the media...

The biggest story of 2016: James Comey was Donald Trump's MVP — most valuable politician

Comey crossed a line previously uncrossed by law enforcement, and changed the outcome of a presidential race

"The big story of the 2016 election, the one which remains for me the most shocking and inexplicable, is the fact that James Comey, the director of the FBI, put a very heavy thumb on the scale which decided the election. It started back in July when he made inappropriate public criticism of Clinton even as he legally exonerated her. This is not something law enforcement is ever supposed to do, and it's certainly unethical to do it in a highly charged political case. Donald Trump and the Republicans used that criticism as evidence that Clinton was still subject to prosecution and "lock her up" (and worse, like 'hang the bitch' and 'Hillary for prison') became sickening rallying cries at Trump campaign events. Close advisers and associates called for Clinton to be 'shot for treason' and 'arrested, tried, and executed.'

The word 'emails' became shorthand for alleged criminal behavior by Hillary Clinton. Under pressure from these hysterical Republicans, Comey continued to violate FBI practice by turning over the raw investigative files to congress, which he released in pieces and the Republicans promptly leaked, keeping the controversy going as the press once again used screaming 'email' headlines to report nothing new or significant.

Despite all that, Clinton was leading in the polls going into the final stretch. And then as people all over the country were already voting, just 11 days before election day, Comey sent his famous letter to the congress announcing they had found some emails on a laptop that might or might not be relevant to the earlier Clinton probe. The Republicans in congress eagerly released it publicly calling it a 're-opening' of the case and the media predictably went wild, talking of little else for days and splashing the news across front pages all over the country."

But you ARE anti-democracy and election deniers. You've made that abundantly clear by refusing the admit the last election(s) were legitimate and your obvious disdain for and misunderstanding of the US Constitution.

  12. by HatetheSwamp on December 6, 2022 2:36 pm

Bull$hit, Curt. pb's been saying, since before J6, "Joe Biden is my President." pb's saying it, still. Joe's suffering from severe cognitive decline. He has delusions of being a trucker. He appears to be corrupt.

    Still,...

    ...he's pb's President.

  13. by Curt_Anderson on December 6, 2022 2:46 pm
No, HtS, you won't admit that Biden was legitimately elected. You still insist that the election was "rigged" by Democratic "shenanigans". You won't say that Biden is President by virtue of fairly winning the popular and electoral votes.

That's another example of you being anti-democratic and an election denier.

Donna. I got it. If Ronnie tries to work with the Iranians imprisoned there is bad if they don't trust carter would do anything to get them out. They tried to get them out under his watch. Okay, I wouldn't say anything either. The sheep hate the Iranian people and won't support them. Conversely, if obomber gives them money the courts and the state department deemed as "illgotten funds" from the Iranians laundering money through the US system. This was nothing more than a bribe, meaning obomber was bribed by a hostile foreign nation and he caved.

    OD,
You can say Biden Crime Family. You can even believe it, but it doesn't make it true. Not legally. But you can say Trump Crime Family officially as of today. That is if all of Trump's previous scams, phony university, sham charities were not enough to convince you of Trump's criminality.

A New York jury has found the Trump Organization guilty of 17 counts of criminal tax fraud for a scheme top executives used to dodge personal income taxes.

  16. by oldedude on December 6, 2022 9:42 pm
With this exception, What have you "proved" against trump. It took you seven years and multiple inquiries that the dims had something. You had indisputable "evidence" of felonies. And this is the first time. in a state that hates him, actually has something. If the jury said this, okay. I wasn't there and I believe in the system.

You, especially, discounts any and all evidence against anyone you support, even if that means they're goal is to commit murder. You had your reasons, justifications, and excuses for the burnybro that shot Scalise. That one actually sickened me.

You said that $20BIL wasn't as bad as attacking the congressional building, even though sheep tried to enter the buildings by force during the SCOTUS hearings (plural). It was just that the Proud Boys, et were successful. We said that was a crime ALSO.

You looked the other way as the DOJ/ FBI were weaponized calling parents' terrorists in the legal term, because they wanted to have some say in what their children were learning.
