Minutes after Trump said he wouldn’t run and hide, he runs and hides.

I don't care what anybody says. Trump's trials won't help his poll numbers.

We don’t really know Joe Biden or Donald Trump. Maybe we should listen to those who do.

Washington(CNN)Sen. Joe Manchin on Saturday slammed President Joe Biden after he called for coal plants across the US to be shuttered, saying Biden's remarks are "outrageous and divorced from reality" and suggesting it's "time he learn a lesson."

Biden, while speaking at a stop in Carlsbad, California, on Friday about the CHIPS and Science Act, said, "We're going to be shutting these plants down all across America and having wind and solar also providing tax credit to help families buy energy-efficient appliances."

"Comments like these are the reason the American people are losing trust in President Biden and instead believes he does not understand the need to have an all in energy policy that would keep our nation totally energy independent and secure. It seems his positions change depending on the audience and the politics of the day. Politicizing our nation's energy policies would only bring higher prices and more pain for the American people," Manchin continued.

Manchin, a senator from a deep-red state who is up for reelection in 2024,...

Being cavalier about the loss of coal jobs for men and women in West Virginia and across the country who literally put their lives on the line to help build and power this country is offensive and disgusting. The President owes these incredible workers an immediate and public apology and it is time he learn a lesson that his words matter and have consequences," Manchin concluded.

Let's just universally face it. "That feckless dementia-ridden piece of crap" is an absolute political genius!

Thanks for the foist, there Blue MAGA Swampcultists.

Does Manchin think we're going to be burning coal forever?

    Did he say that?

Politic is about winning friends and influencing people.

This takes Hillary's "basket of deplorables" into a whole new universe.

I'll tell you today that "that feckless dementia-ridden piece of crap" won't win Pennsylvania in 024. Or Ohio.

    The man's a demented fool.

    Again, thanks for the foist.

"Politic is about winning friends and influencing people." --HtS

No it's not. Winning politics is about winning over somewhat more than half the voters. No sincere politician can appeal to all voters. As for influencing people, only a small fraction of voters are susceptible to changing their minds on an issue. Mostly politicians need to get those people who already share their views to show up and vote.

By more than two to one American favor a future with renewable energy over fossil fuels. That's probably not the case in West Virginia. But Biden has to appeal to the entire nation, not just the coal producing regions.

I was wondering what the Good German crowd thinking was on this. Thanks for weighing in.

My sense is that "that feckless dementia-ridden piece of crap" didn't need to offend anyone in that speech. And, he did.

Every purple state Dem up in the Senate in 024 will now have to figure that they're committing political suicide when they vote with the demented sack of $hit from now on because sound bites from that speech will be dynamite in two years.

    And, it was all unnecessary.

Such hostility and anger! You still cannot get over Trump losing to Biden. Donna's right. You guys are poor losers.

Y'know, I'm so psyched about the Red Wave...and the spectacle of the Hunter and DOJ/FBI hearings, I ain't angry bout nuthin.

The point remains. Joe didn't have to offend no one. At least Hillary said the deplorables thing thinking she was safe and speaking among friends.

One thing about people with dementia. They don't know not to say the quiet things out loud. And, Joe don't. My dad was notorious for Joe's silliness.

With Joe virtually writing GOP 024 campaign ads, I can see the GOPs approaching 60 in the Senate in 024 if they can squeeze out 53 or more seats in 022...

    ...and, Newt's predicting 54 or 55.
