The group of Venezuelan nationals Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis paid to be flown from Texas to Martha’s Vineyard in September are officially victims of crime, qualifying them for a U visa, which gives them nonimmigrant status so that they can remain in the country to provide evidence or testify in any related criminal proceedings, a Texas sheriff said Thursday.

Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar, who opened an investigation into the stunt almost immediately, has submitted certification documents to allow the 48 people to apply for a visa. He said he is investigating the case as unlawful restraint “based upon the claims of migrants being transported from Bexar County under false pretenses.” In a separate lawsuit filed by the migrants, they allege they were lured onto the flight with false promises of cash and jobs.

A Dem political hack sheriff has begun an investigation of a GOP governor 3 weeks before an election...using migrants as pawns. And, the progressives called the flight to the Vineyard a stunt!

My guess is that Ron DeSantis is already instructing Casey on how to hide a file in the cakes she bakes for him on Visitors' Day!

You can always tell when Curt gets butthurt when we bring up too much that he's embarrassed about. It slays me to think the world of a dim doesn't exist outside their arms reach. The sheep can't understand a family that wants to feed their kids without sucking off the teat of the government.

I wrote this about DeSantis in comment #8 of the link below:
"He promised to send more plane loads of immigrants North. It will be a tell if it's politically working for him if he actually does it."

It's been over a month and DeSantis hasn't repeated the stunt. Draw your own conclusions.

I think it's interesting that "sheriff" didn't do the same thing with the Texas Governor. Talk about hypocrisy! If you take a look, Abbot and DiSantis have clashed numerous times. So maybe it's a ploy from Abbot?
