I don't care what anybody says. Trump's trials won't help his poll numbers.

We don’t really know Joe Biden or Donald Trump. Maybe we should listen to those who do.

(A first attempt at a Post article.)

What's not often considered, is that there are Dems who don't walk lockstep with the sainted AOC, Ilhan Omar and the legendary Maxine Waters.

Kyrsten Sinema, D AZ, has courageously published an Op Ed in the insanely Swampcult Progressive rag, the Wapo. Her editorial supports the filibuster and accuses DC Dems of hypocrisy for even considering eliminating it.

And, Dems are going bonkers!

Congrats, Kyrsten, for maintaining sanity...a quality maintained by few in the DC Dem Swamp.

I am not opposed to the "Mr. Deeds Goes To Washington" type filibuster. But currently, any obstructionist senator can put a stop to legislation by simply calling "filibuster".

“Back in the old days,” Biden said, a senator who wished to maintain a filibuster “had to stand up and command the floor” and “keep talking on.”

The idea that any legislation needs 60 votes isn't a bad idea. It leads to compromise and more moderate legislation. It also assures that legislation won't be done and undone as the parties exchange the Senate gavel every few years.

A very rare moment of agreement between us.

You and I are both geezerly enough to remember the days when a filibuster really was a filibuster.

You probably can also recall the day when it took 67 votes to break a filibuster.
