So if Florida has teachers without college degrees and the normal accreditation needed to teach, will the schools maintain their accreditation? Will colleges look askance at prospective, applying students from Florida schools?

It's a thing called "Troops to Teachers." You have to have a BA/BS, but it doesn't have to be in teaching. You get your certificate within the first two years of teaching to be employed. It's kind of funny, because MOST of the states in the US use this program. I suspect they're using FL as a political point. If I were interested, FL is where I'd go.

Apparently Florida weakened the eligibility requirements on July 1, 2022.

Military Veterans Certification Pathway

Effective July 1, 2022, Florida issues a 5-year Temporary Certificate for military veterans who have not yet earned their bachelor’s degrees and meet the following eligibility:

Minimum of 48 months of active duty military service with an honorable/medical discharge

Minimum of 60 college credits with a 2.5 grade point average

Passing score on a Florida subject area examination for bachelor’s level subjects which demonstrate mastery of subject area knowledge

Employment in a Florida school district, including charter schools

OK. whatever. It may be that now. Last time I checked it out for one of my troops was in 2007. The idea is these troops generally have lifeskills that exceed the typical 4 year student. The fact they have hours also show they generally obtained credits around 12 hour days, and deployments. There is still that epic issue also that being in the military, you're a loser that can't do anything else. Because of the liberal nature of teaching, the districts would rather pick a 21 year old kid without life experience to "groom."
So for you and Curt's dredging the bottom of the barrel conversation. It's pretty common to hear that.

My impression of the conversation is that FL was dredging the bottom of the barrel to get teachers. Which is really insulting to me.

So pretty much you lost any credibility with me. You said you never lie. And yet, you've shown that you are a bald faced liar and that you have zero integrity. I don't mind so much that you said the truth to Curt. I would like that. But to flat ass lie (several times) about something that doesn't really matter tells me you have no integrity to do anything in your life.

You have severe anger issues.

I'm not slamming veterans. I'm concerned that veterans who for example lack credentials in mathematics would be hired to teach math. Now, maybe that woukdn't happen, but it's a concern nonetheless.

You're lying again. As proven by your own words.

No teacher is hired except for the area where they have the credentials in.
Ergo, with 2 master's degrees, I could not teach "math," or chemistry, science at the lower levels, environmental science, etc. I would be okay to teach business or government related courses from elementary through HS if I chose. Within that time, I would have to work in my credentialing in those areas.
