Support to bar House Speaker Nancy Pelosi from receiving Holy Communion is mounting among Roman Catholic U.S. bishops who are condemning her support of abortion as a moral evil.

"The church clearly teaches that abortion is a grave evil, and that public advocacy for — and support of — abortion is, objectively speaking, such a manifest grave sin," Portland Archbishop Alexander Sample said Friday on Facebook.

"What Archbishop Cordileone did was actually an act of pastoral love and care for Speaker Pelosi and for all those entrusted to his pastoral care, who might have been led astray by her public support of the evil of abortion," Sample said. "That’s why what Archbishop Cordileone did was the right thing."

Hey, isle! Pastoral care...just as pb said.

Listen, buddy. When you need someone to splain Roman Catholicism to you?, pb's here for you.

Bahahahahahahahahahaha,ahhhhhhhhhhh.

I hope one of your your alternate personalities, whether it be pb, pastor bill, or the malignant narcissist, knows more about Catholicism than you.

What have they been doing lately? They (except for pb) don’t seem to inhabit your mind or speak out much any more. I "sort of" miss postmodern bible-thumper though.

Did you, or any of the others know that the use of contraceptives is a grave sin as well?

And that abortion is a grave sin even to save the life of the mother?

    I’ll bet you didn’t !

Wow, "postmodern Bible-thumper." I'd forgotten that one. One of my faves of all time.

What that pb quoted is inaccurate? It seems to pb that what Archbishop Cordileone did has shaken up the Church...and many Catholics are shouting, "Amen, hallelujah!" as if they were Pentecostals!

Try to remember that what you hope is reality, and what "seems like" reality to you in your own world where subjectivity is truth...Well...There is another world of objective reality and objective truth!

If you are capable, it would undoubtedly improve your life if you could try to discover some of it. I think you'd be surprised. Objective truth, even the search for it is fascinating !!

It's objective truth that many Big Shot American Roman Catholics strongly approve of the sanction of Nancy Pelosi. Ain't?

Did you know that some consider Kierkegaard to be the father of postmodernism?

”It's objective truth that many Big Shot American Roman Catholics strongly approve of the sanction of Nancy Pelosi. Ain't?”

    Yup !

It’s also an objective truth that Catholics are just as apt to use contraceptives or have an abortion as non-Catholics and many Big Shot Roman Catholics do not approve of the sanctions against Pelosi !

Do you consider the Pope a “Big Shot Roman Catholic”? Does he approve of with-holding communion from the likes of Biden or Pelosi?

Check with pastor bill and see what he thinks.

”Did you know that some consider Kierkegaard to be the father of postmodernism?

I suppose there are some, and did you know some consider him the father of existentialism?

Wikipedia has an an interesting piece on postmodernism, “”The basic features of what is now called postmodernism can be found as early as the 1940s, most notably in the work of artists such as Jorge Luis Borges.[37] However, most scholars today agree postmodernism began to compete with modernism in the late 1950s and gained ascendancy over it in the 1960s”

Many more consider him to be the father of existentialism than postmodernism.

He was an exceptional genius who disappeared into obscurity for about 50 years until he was discovered by Karl Barth, a Lutheran and a leading figure in Christian Neo-Orthoxy.

He then influenced existentialism e.g., Sartell and others.
