As you know, pb has broader horizons than the rest of the posters here on SS who only watch and read sources that feed their prejudices.
Because pb's thinking is so incredibly nuanced, no single news source aligns precisely with his own prejudices. However, the one major outlet that comes closest is Fox.
Because pb is as open minded as he is, he was watching MSNBC this morning. He was stunned to hear a conservative, Fox News anchor from the Ivy League maligned for supporting Putin, listening to clips of Trump and Mike Pompeo praising the brilliance of Vladimir Putin. Joe and his guests were appalled.
Here's the truth. MSNBC lies.
The Pompeo clip was from C Span, though pb watched him say similar things on Fox Tuesday. pb was listening to Trump make his comments contemporaneously on the Clay Travis and Buck Sexton Program.
Here's the truth. Trump and Pompeo are not admirers of Vladimir Putin.
They were making two points:
1. Their guy, Vladimir Putin is brilliant.
2. Our guy, Joe Biden, in the words of Kathy McCollum, mother of one of the members of the US military who died as a victim of Joe Biden’s botched withdrawal from Afghanistan, is a "feckless dementia-ridden piece of crap."
Trump, Pompeo, most of Fox, and most of us...the honest people of America...know that when it comes to leadership, the US is overmatched.
Carlson? As pb has said many times, pb doesn’t watch him. Tucker's, apparently, the Ivy League guy Morning Joe maligned. Tucker isn’t from the Ivy League but he's also not singing the same tune as most of America. pb has watched about five minutes of him lately. Clearly, he's not a fan of Ukraine. Putin? pb is not certain that Tucker is in the fan club. Tulsi was on his show and those two seem to agree.
The truth is, though, clearly, that MSNBC lies.
