Trump's sacrilegious Bible scam. If people don't recognize Trump as a phony now, they never will.

As you know, pb has broader horizons than the rest of the posters here on SS who only watch and read sources that feed their prejudices.

Because pb's thinking is so incredibly nuanced, no single news source aligns precisely with his own prejudices. However, the one major outlet that comes closest is Fox.

Because pb is as open minded as he is, he was watching MSNBC this morning. He was stunned to hear a conservative, Fox News anchor from the Ivy League maligned for supporting Putin, listening to clips of Trump and Mike Pompeo praising the brilliance of Vladimir Putin. Joe and his guests were appalled.

Here's the truth. MSNBC lies.

The Pompeo clip was from C Span, though pb watched him say similar things on Fox Tuesday. pb was listening to Trump make his comments contemporaneously on the Clay Travis and Buck Sexton Program.

Here's the truth. Trump and Pompeo are not admirers of Vladimir Putin.

They were making two points:

1. Their guy, Vladimir Putin is brilliant.
2. Our guy, Joe Biden, in the words of Kathy McCollum, mother of one of the members of the US military who died as a victim of Joe Biden’s botched withdrawal from Afghanistan, is a "feckless dementia-ridden piece of crap."

Trump, Pompeo, most of Fox, and most of us...the honest people of America...know that when it comes to leadership, the US is overmatched.

Carlson? As pb has said many times, pb doesn’t watch him. Tucker's, apparently, the Ivy League guy Morning Joe maligned. Tucker isn’t from the Ivy League but he's also not singing the same tune as most of America. pb has watched about five minutes of him lately. Clearly, he's not a fan of Ukraine. Putin? pb is not certain that Tucker is in the fan club. Tulsi was on his show and those two seem to agree.

The truth is, though, clearly, that MSNBC lies.

I read and heard Trump calling Putin savvy and a genius. Trump provided them grist for the Russian propaganda mill. I have no doubts that Russian state media will be replaying Trump's quotes ad infinitum.

33 seconds. Y'know! I think that 33 second splice of a comment that, I'd guess went on for 3 minutes, is typical of what you enter here.

Trump said all of that...and, much, much more. I know. I heard the whole thing!

And, can you disagree with Trump?

What Putin did is absolutely ingenious!

Tell Putin that he invaded another country. He'll say that Russia recognizes those regions as independent. He's not fighting a war. His army is keeping peace.

You don't think he's savvy? Wiley? Crafty? Cunning?

Tell me you disagree with Trump’s assessment!

    Trump absolutely said that.

And, if you had the courage to listen to the whole comment, you'd hear the real point...about Biden. Joe Biden is our very own doddering old fool.

When it comes to the other side's leadership and ours? We are soooooo overmatched!

No one is ever going to deny that Trump said that. Everyone on our side will embrace it. We will shout it from the mountain tops.

    PUTIN IS SAVVY. A GENIUS!!!!!

And, Joe Biden is "that feckless dementia-ridden piece of crap!"

Putin is wily. Wiley he isn't.

Many evil people throughout history could be described as wily, cunning, calculating, etc.

A native English speaker would have probably have a more nuanced interpretation of Trump's remarks than would a Russian who speaks English as a second language. A non-English speaking Russian and even Russians who speak English would see and hear Trump's remarks as effusive praise for their deal leader.

Of course, those 33 seconds were offered in context. The point is...and it's never going away because it's true:

Joe Biden is a "feckless dementia-ridden piece of crap." He's a frail old man, ripe to be bullied, who is being bullied...and will continue to be bullied. Heck. He's been bullied by the Squad! You can be damn sure he's being bullied by Vlad. He will be bullied by Xi.

No matter what you can say about this important moment in diplomacy, it's a fact that Putin is sharper and far determined than our very own doddering old fart.

To the degree that the people of Ukraine are dependent on the US, with the Flatulent Fool in charge, they are in deep doo-doo.

How brilliant does one have to be to invade another country? What was brilliant about that?

  6. by HatetheSwamp on February 24, 2022 5:30 am

    Donna,

Vladimir Putin is a psychopath. Tell me you can't tell that he's done this very cleverly. Ingeniously.

Tell me you don't know that Joe Biden, cognitively, is a shell of what he once was. Tell me you don't know that, at his very best, he was a mediocre politician.

From the beginning, Putin has played Joe Biden like a cheap toy drum.

These are all real world truths.

A part of the US reality, in this conflict, is that many millions of us believe, now more sincerely than ever, that your side cheated a weak, doddering old fool into the White House.

If you expect us, suddenly, to forget all the shenanigans that put this fool in the White House?...in charge of our diplomacy?, military?...it don't work that way. Ain't gunna happen. That is, now, our reality as a nation.

Your side could, did, manipulate the casting and counting of votes. You can't manipulate us.

Joe Biden is a fool. He's inept. He's weak. And, compared to the psycho running our enemy!!!!!?

The state of Joe's brain, and the way you got him in the White House, is our story.

I'm not at all surprised that you too believe that Putin's invasion of Ukraine was brilliant. It's common to mistake audacity for brilliance.
