The following flow chart will help employees and staff to follow the correct procedures when encountering an OSHA compliance inspection or investigation.

First point of contact employee will notify Management and Safety Coordinator of the presence of OSHA personnel on premesis.

Management along with Safety Coordinator or with other Management personnel will Immediately require credentials and reason for visit.

If it is determined through discussion with the OSHA representative that they are there as a result of a Complaint

It is revealed that the OSHA representative is there for a Data Initiative or regular wall to wall inspection.

Management along with the Safety Coordinator shall accompany the OSHI on entire walk around. A camera and detailed written documentation shall be used to document similar activities of the OSHI.

Personnel will ask for a copy of the complaint first. Immediately. If they do not give one, inform them that they are required by the Field Compliance Manual to provide one to you.
