My...uh...buddy, Transmutate, asked me to write this little examination. So pay attention, this WILL be on the test! In fact, this IS the test, so you're already screwed! *AHEM* What I mean is...seems the Mutates have been doing a bit too much collateral damage, and After-Image, that dear, decided we, er, they need some better publicity. So here we go! Cheesy as it may be:
In the beginning, there was light...and so, there was darkness as well. Order, light, and purity, personified in the form of one shining being: Primus. Chaos, darkness, and the lowest of filth, given flesh and form: Unicron. Perfectly balanced and opposed... eternally in conflict, both amongst themselves, and against an even more fearsome power that ruled over them both. The force...of EVIL. The sins of many, given life as one. Transmutate. Evil. The force that corrupts all, be it light, darkness, purity, order or chaos.
For eons, did Primus and Unicron wage their war against the engine of destruction. And with each attempt, their brave fronts were greeted with failure. For Primus, Unicron, and Transmutate were not merely companions, trapped within their inch an eon limbo. They are brothers...one, created from the stuff of the universe itself. The pain that one felt...the others experienced as well. But the Transmutate...with its control over the elements of Primus and Unicron, and thus greater strength, was imbalanced. It did not fear the pain...it enjoyed it.
Again and again, did the Transmutate dash Primus's experiments in life, and Unicron's efforts to overpower it. Finally, Primus made a grave decision. As long as the Transmutate existed, reality would be a living misery. And so...It would be better to destroy all of reality...than to allow such atrocities to continue. But to do so...would be to undo all that was. And as the guardian of order, Primus's hand...was stayed.
Primus, Unicron, Transmutate--For the existence of everything that is, they MUST..but must NOT...die. But shattered glass still reflects proudly the light of the stars. Thus it was decided, that even if the universe could not be destroyed, it could be...reborn. Many times over.
A suicide run--Primus and Unicron, desperately allied, fused their bodies, and, in the heat of battle, combined with the Transmutate as well...upon which Primus unlocked the forbidden chamber of his heart...and let forth the furious flames within.
The explosion blew reality apart...scattering the limbo into billions of different universes, an infinite WORLD of possibilities. And in each, was recreated, in microcosm, the saga that had come before.
For Primus, Unicron, and Transmutate's souls as well had been splintered into billions of beings,each bearing aspects of the greater ones from which they had been spawned.
Primus, eternal guardian. Unicron, devouring demon. And the Transmutates...their power still so great, that in each universe, Primus further split the Mutate into triplets, a twisted homage to the universal trio that had ruled in days gone past.
And to create the new universes that unfolded, Primus used the stuff of the Transmutate's body itself: Atoms, with their three component parts: Proton, neutron, and electron.
WE are the Transmutates....your hidden past, your terrible present, and your apocolyptic future. We are all around you, in the air you breath, the grass upon which you tread, and the stars that gaze down upon you from the blackness of eternity. We are unstoppable. We can take any form imaginable. We are evil in its purest form...and we...we are your destiny.
The Transmutates are everywhere, and everything. All life is born from the stuff of stars--hydrogen, helium, carbon, silicon. But perhaps YOU were born to a higher calling.
