And, of course, the fascist Dem governor of my state required them. My guess is that, if you live in a blue state, this counterproductive measure was foisted on your business owners, too.

Ain't Big Bro great!

And, of course, the fascist Dem governor of my state required them. --HtS

How can you tell when HtS is lying? His fingers are typing.

Hts's claim above set off my bs-meter. Being almost 3,000 miles away from Pennsylvania it's difficult for me to verify hts's claim or refute it. But I'm guessing it's not true and that HtS cannot provide a link to any evidence showing that it is true.

    What's true?

    I provided a link.

    HtS,
What is not true, or least you won't provide any evidence of it, is your claim that the Pennsylvania Governor requires plastic shields in restaurants or any public place.

  4. by HatetheSwamp on August 21, 2021 7:41 am

Well, in restaurants, it's only at the cash registers but, trust me, if you were in the plexiglass business in Pennsylvania, you've been living large since COVID. Maybe the governor's mistress's brother is into plexiglas.

You may recall that, in recent years, I was working in a supermarket. The governor absolutely micromanaged those stores. Plexiglas everywhere store employees come into close contact with customers. There were detailed regulations related to when and how shopping carts were sanitized. Our fascist shamefully took over those businesses.

I judge all blue state fascist governors by mine, and maybe yours didn't let the power go to their head, but mine, sheeeeeeeesh!

Well you seem to be walking back your claim already. The article you cite, which originally appeared in the New York Times in a longer report, was talking about the plastic shields placed between booths in
restaurants. It's not about plastic shields between the customer and the cashier. The problem with the plastic shields between seat is that it impedes airflow. It's probably not a bad idea they have a shield between the cashier and customer since they are literally face-to-face within inches of each other.

Either way you have no evidence to back up your claim that Pennsylvania's Governor required plastic shields in restaurants. As I suspected you're clean about Governor Wolfe is BS.

The best I can do, without investing the weekend is linking to an article from a Harrisburg PENNSYLVANIA TV station addressing the unlikelihood that the barriers work and actually may spread COVID.

Obviously, this would be irrelevant to WTPA's viewers if there were no requirement.

Still, the point remains that much that the COVID fascists foisted has proved to be folly.

This, of course, argues for allowing citizens the freedom to live out their liberty which they possess because all people have been endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights...

...and, against your Swampcult Blue MAGA fascism.

    HtS,
You are still lying about the plastic shields. Give it up already. Contrary to your claim "the fascist Dem governor of my state required them", he did not require them. I don't believe any US governor required them.

Restaurants that did install them, probably had good intentions, but did so to make their restaurants appear safer from Covid transmission.
