If pb adds a Legal Goober #4, it'll be Bill Barr. He's a died-in-the-wool GOP but he's a dedicated civil servant at heart. He handled Trump's scheme to challenge the results of the 020 election in the way Pence did...and is in Trump's outhouse.
The gay Guy is cut from the same cloth. Very Republican. Not MAGA. Level-headed.
They discussed both Biden's mess, and Trump’s.
Barr said that, as AG, he could have brought charges against the Bidens in 020 but didn't so as not to interfere with the election. He handed the cases over to Biden's DOJ and is "surprised" that nuthin's been done. He said very easily that GOPs are prosecuted more zealously than Dems.
On Trump:
The guys discussed only the DC and Florida indictments. Barr sees nuthin wrong with Florida and he thinks that the May date is appropriate. Further, he says, if Jack Smith can back up his charges on the documents, Trump's in a nice sized pile of doodoo.
On DC? Barr is more critical, but less critical than the three Goobers on pb's Legal Advisory Council, but he's not giving that one the stamp of approval he's giving to the Florida case.
