U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's husband Paul Pelosi was "violently assaulted" after a break-in at the couple's San Francisco home early on Friday and a suspect has been arrested, authorities said.

Paul Pelosi, 82, was taken to the hospital and is expected to make a full recovery, Pelosi's office said.

The San Francisco Police said it responded to a home break-in at 2:28 a.m. Pacific time (0928 GMT) and said it took a suspect into custody. Further details were expected at a news conference.

Here's hoping that he fully recovers quickly. One more illustration of the reality that crime has become a serious problem in America.

    Andrea Mitchell of MSNBC is reporting that the intruder was shouting "where is Nancy? where is Nancy?" That automatically makes it a federal crime.

    Lead. Sorry I didn't see this before. I yield. I'm just a little more then pissed that someone would attack the family of a member of congress that I didn't look too far.

    The facts at this time are Paul heard the glass being broken.
    Paul came down and met a guy with his underwear on.
    skip a portion until the police figure this out...
    Cops responded to the house (remember this is a city that hates cops)
    Cops witnessed the perp, take the hammer from the VT1 and strike him repeatedly with the hammer. End of conversation. It doesn't matter "who" owned" the weapon. it only matters who was USING the. weapon.

    I still don't understand how this is an issue with Curt and the rest of the sheep.
