People who say they are voting for Robert F. Kennedy Jr. are probably low-information voters.

Oh yeah, a couple of weeks ago. The polls are looking much better than they were a few weeks ago.

I filled out and mailed my ballot back the day after I got it.

I hope your optimism is justified.

Just passed Long Beach City College. There were 2 booths: one pro-Newsom and one anti-Newsom. There were also cops there but I didn't notice any problems.

The polls are looking encouraging. Three weeks ago it was neck and neck. I just saw today that NO recall is ahead by double digits. People are catching on to just what is at stake here.

It's been observed that Gov. Greg Abbot (R-TX) did Gov. Newsom a solid with his draconian anti-abortion law. Most Californians don't want that. In the Texas plan anybody can profit from a lawsuit against anybody with even a peripheral connection to an abortion. A friend of mine likened that spying and snitching to the old STASI of East Germany where neighbors reported on neighbors.

    WHEW!, Curt...!

I thought you were gonna make a comparison to Hitler there for a half second. We're not allowed to do that anymore, remember? We can't make any comparisons to Hitler or Nazis, regardless of how dead-on accurate it may be about certain previous presidents and/or political parties.

    Ponderer,
Donna might remember that early on during the Trump presidency, I rescinded Godwin's law on the pages of SelectSmart.com.

I do remember that, Curt. It's only America's system of checks and balances and its electoral systems that kept Trump in check, which is why the Trumplican Party has been zeroing in on and weakening those institutions.

If Trump were to become president again, I wouldn't expect him to follow Hitler's playbook to a tee; I don't see him invading Mexico or Canada or waging genocide. It would be a uniquely Trumplican form of fascism that would probably only last as long as Trump remained physically able to rule, its central mission being manipulating the levers of power to bring Trump and his cronies unimaginable wealth at the expense of our natural environment and the working class - a kleptocracy, like Putin's Russia, which btw is why Trump admires Putin so much.
