The sheep here hate Frank Luntz. Okay, I got that out of the way. Like Carvelle, he's got a couple of points though that the sheep need to look at.
Letitia James has been fawning over taking over trumpster's properties. Many times this has been so giddy you'd think she had a vibrator hid. She has talked incessantly about "making him pay" and getting what many consider an exorbitant amount of money according to the 8th amendment (which the left doesn't care about because, well, it's trumpster. So fuck the constitution), the other half of the nation wants him ruined or dead, either one will do for them.
Back to Luntz. In a recent discussion highlighted by Frank Luntz, a veteran pollster for the Republican party, during a CNN panel, there’s been a stirring caution towards the political repercussions following actions against former President Donald Trump, particularly concerning the seizure of his properties to settle a substantial civil fraud verdict. Luntz expressed a grave forewarning that such measures could inadvertently position Trump as a martyr in the eyes of the public, potentially bolstering his chances in the upcoming 2024 presidential election.
Luntz articulated his concerns by pointing out that if Trump’s assets were to be confiscated, it would likely amplify his narrative of being unfairly targeted by the federal government, establishment figures, and the so-called Washington swamp. This narrative, Luntz argues, has historically worked in Trump’s favor, as seen in previous instances where his poll numbers have surged following indictments.
So moving in the direction of "never let a crisis go to waste" from the dims, this could be wonderful for trumpster. Letitia uses basically an "asset forfeiture" scam to get the properties. This is used for criminally charged RICO cases for things like the Teflon Don, Chapo Guzman, etc. High profile murder trials where people actually died.
She takes the property for a civil case. There's an issue there, but that's a later on thing. The state takes them over. Which means the state is responsible for all updates, and maintenance. Understand that trump, Inc. will let go everyone they have hired. They're not going to pay them, it's the "state's" responsibility now. They wanted it, they got it. The state can close the properties. Great. 🤔Anyone that has been in business knows you just can't let property go. Especially golf properties, etc. 😀The state loses millions of dollars. Thank you Letitia James!
Does trumpster want them back? maybe, maybe not. He claims the loss, and rebuys dime on the dollar. OR he gets them back on appeal and claims the losses because the state didn't do the upkeep they're required to do when they take property and have to give it back.
Someone didn't think this through very well...
