Hur offered a deeply damaging portrait of an aging president beset by memory issues, who had trouble recalling dates and details during his five-hour interview with the special counsel.

I'm guessin so.

Curt is a great Good German... a master of the art... and, I can't wait to see what he does with this.

This could be Curt's moment. He may prove to be Mighty Casey at the Bat. Could it be, "... there is no joy in Dem-ville, mighty Curty has struck out?"

Mark your calendar. March 12. Must see TV!

Robert Hur is to testify tomorrow.

Robert Hur will testify as private citizen with help from Trumpworld figures
Robert Hur, the former Trump-appointed US Attorney who declined to prosecute President Joe Biden after classified materials were found in his Delaware home and a former office in Washington, DC, will appear before the House Judiciary Committee as a private citizen who has surrounded himself with Republican partisans and notorious figures linked to former president Donald Trump as he prepares for his Tuesday appearance before the House Judiciary Committee.

According to multiple sources familiar with Mr Hur’s plans, the special counsel, who is appearing before the Judiciary Committee at the request of the Republican majority led by Ohio Representative Jim Jordan, has arranged his departure from the Department of Justice to be official as of Monday 11 March, one day before he is scheduled to appear on Capitol Hill.

Instead of appearing as a DOJ employee who is bound by the ethical guidelines which govern the behaviour of federal prosecutors, he will appear as a private citizen with no constraints on his testimony.

I find it interesting that "now" you actually understand that DOJ employees are bound by "ethical guidelines" and those that lied to FISA courts, et. al., did no wrong, and have always given them passes. I expect you're attempt to slither out of this also.

Again, two horses, one ass. Can't be done. Picking and choosing when they do and when they don't is the reason people liken DOJ to the GRU or FSB.

    OD,
Actually, I don’t have any problems with the department of Justice, the FBI, or their prosecutorial choices. I do not think they are ethically bankrupt…including Robert Hur. Unlike you, I support federal law-enforcement and their investigations.

I will accept Robert Hur’s under oath testimony as true unless he later recants or is proven to be a perjurer. I may take his layman’s medical opinions with a grain of salt.

Now can you be as consistent as I am?

    Curt,

I agree with you about Hur.

What bothers me about this hearing is what bothers me about all of these hearings. Neither party gives a freakin d@ng about what the truth is.

They only care to make political points.

I'm going to call you on your bullshit. You've repeatedly disregarded the illegal activity regarding the steele dossier and the Russia disinformation investigations which were KNOWN bullshit by the DOJ and IN. You've never seen anything wrong with lying to the courts. You've said it was good that the DOJ waste their time on following and arresting parents that disagree with school boards that were illegally withholding information from the parents. That's just the beginning of your support for their illegal activity. You've NEVER believed (until now) they had any "ethics" requirements until now, when they use it against your sworn enemies. You watched and gaffawed at them ruining the lives of Americans. Again, two horses, one ass. Can't be done. Picking and choosing when they do and when they don't is the reason people liken DOJ to the GRU or FSB.

I'm really not sorry. I know what their "ethics rules" say. They continue to violate them from the top.

I do believe the average SA at DOJ are good, solid human beings just trying to do the right thing for the right reason. For you to come out and say "I support them" is supporting their immoral activity. You might as well be supporting cops hiding evidence (which they did several times) and setting up innocent people (which they've done). This shows me you have either zero ethics in your soul, or you have zero knowledge of the law, or both.

    OD,
You say “disregarded”, I say “I don’t have any problems”. They mean pretty much the same thing.

  7. by oldedude on March 12, 2024 10:53 am
Not a chance. "I don't have any problems" is an inactive phrase. "disregarded" is an active process where you evaluated the facts and chose to rebuff them.

So instead of you not caring about the illegal portions of their illegal search and seizures, and evidence handling, you knew about them, and chose to deny the illegal activity. That's a culpable action.
