I see those NYC charges a delicious appetizer before the multiple courses of a feast.
NYC DA Alvin Bragg is expected to charge Trump with crimes related to his hush money payments to Stormy Daniels, in particular, falsification of business records and campaign finance violations.
While that pales in comparison to Trump's efforts to subvert the election on January Sixth and again with his "perfect phone call" to Brad Raffensperger, and his theft and lying about documents, the NYC charges are serious crimes that could result in prison time.
When he is not gnashing teeth and threatening violence, Trump is putting on a happy face and claiming that his being arrested will only make him more electable. I don't believe that for a moment. The only people who would see his arrests and appearances in court as somehow admirable are already MAGA cult nuts who would vote for Trump anyway. I'd like to know who the supposed voters are that are undecided but will become convinced to vote for Trump because of his appearance in criminal court.
