Contractors hired by Arizona Senate Republicans to oversee a partisan review of the 2020 election said Thursday that they don't have enough information yet to complete their report, and they want legislators to subpoena more records and survey tens of thousands of voters at home.

Cyber Ninjas CEO Doug Logan said Thursday he thinks the audit he’s leading of last year’s Phoenix-area election should include door-to-door canvassing, a plan that was shelved after the U.S. Department of Justice raised concerns.

During a livestreamed hearing led by Arizona Senate President Karen Fann, Logan said canvassing could help explain possible anomalies found in the voter registration rolls.

Trump furious with the Arizona audit fail
According to the Associated Press, "Arizona county election officials have identified fewer than 200 cases of potential voter fraud out of more than 3 million ballots cast in last year's presidential election, further discrediting former President Donald Trump's claims of a stolen election."

After Fox's Brett Baier made note of the audit findings, the former president sent out a statement that said, in part, "Fox News and other media outlets incorrectly side with the outdated and terrible Maricopa County Election Board to report no fraud found in the Presidential Election. They spew the gross misinformation purposefully put out by the county and the Associated Press, and IGNORE the very important Arizona Senate's hearing yesterday," before adding, "The same anchor at the desk the night Fox called Arizona for Joe Biden now wants you to believe there was no fraud. The anchor was Bret Baier."

Election officials call Arizona audit 'bombshell' a dud
PHOENIX — Claims made about the election audit in Maricopa County that some have labeled a "bombshell" are really a dud, Maricopa County officials say.

County officials have issued what they said is a point-by-point knockdown of the most serious charges leveled by Doug Logan, the CEO of Cyber Ninjas, the firm hired by Senate President Karen Fann, and Ben Cotton founder of CyFir which bills itself as a digital forensics investigative company. Curt, the site is an interesting read. The Trumpster “True Believers” and conspiracy theorists and or enablers who still believe that the election, was “somehow” stolen or fraudulent in some way seem to have a problem explaining why the election officials, both Republican and Democrat say the Trumpsters are wrong! They agree that election was safe, secure, and fair, and Trump lost (by a fairly wide margin).

    Thanks, islander.

A psychiatrist would understand why a narcissist like Trump refuses to admit defeat. What baffles me is why Republican politicians and voters are sticking with him. In politics and in sports failure to win the big prize whether it's an election or championship, the losing team re-evaluates and makes changes: maybe fire the coach, trade some players and look for new candidates without the stench of losing.

As for the Trumpy Republican's non-binding "audits", that would be like if the losing teams in the MLB, NBA and NFL championships rather than being gracious losers, combed through every play and dissected every call looking for "anomalies". Then hire lawyers and a pillow salesman to make their aggrieved argument.

    Perfect analogy.
