It appears that Donald Trump cannot count on Murdoch media to support this presidential run. On the front cover of the New York Post there’s a line on the bottom below all the other stories that reads “Florida man makes announcement. Page 29”.

    Bingo.

The NYP is not on the Trump track. I've linked to about half a dozen of those articles. FNC is a different animal. Much of the right wing press, especially with younger writers. Townhall.com leading the way are thinly veiling their support for DeSantis.

But, don't get your hopes up. The conservative intelligentsia hated Trump in 016. It mattered not.

If Trump does what Lindsey Graham says, Trump will disembowel the Former Trucker in 024.

LOL! So you've already thrown in the towel on DeSantis?

  3. by HatetheSwamp on November 16, 2022 10:26 am

Huh? Why would you think that pb has thrown in the towel for DeSantis?

pb supports Ron DeSantis for President. pb's in the Bill Barr camp. He'll only vote for Trump as a last resort.

    But, pb doesn't have TDS.

  4. by Donna on November 16, 2022 10:33 am

    On another thread, you said

"OrangeMan absolutely can win the nomination among sweet-spirited GOPs. Graham is bang on. If Trump continues this tone, he absolutely will be the nominee and, if he continues this tone, he will, undoubtedly, beat "that feckless dementia-ridden piece of crap" in 024 in a landslide (apart from the cheating.)"

And then on this threat you said

"If Trump does what Lindsey Graham says, Trump will disembowel the Former Trucker in 024."

Of course there's no reason to think that Trump won't continue "this tone", so in effect you're already conceding that Trump will win the nomination.

You're trying to have it both ways as you often do.

  5. by HatetheSwamp on November 16, 2022 10:53 am

No, Donna. pb thinks that Trump is despicable, as he always has. But, pb is strongly enough connected to the real world that he can see that, if Trump continues to do what he did last night, 024 will be a walk-over.

    But, Trump won't.

  6. by Donna on November 16, 2022 11:07 am

    Trump won't what?

  7. by HatetheSwamp on November 16, 2022 11:10 am

Continue the positive tone. He start up with the DeSanctimonious stuff and other snide comments before long.

Trump won't be getting the free media he has in past elections. Republican office-holders and donors are abandoning him. He is even being attacked by his own former cabinet members. Mike Pompeo tweeted, "We need more seriousness, less noise, and leaders who are looking forward, not staring in the rearview mirror claiming victimhood."

WASHINGTON — More and more big-money bundlers are abandoning former President Donald Trump’s bid to return to the White House in 2024 in favor of rising GOP stars like Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis.

Two New York-based billionaires, metal mogul Andy Sabin and private equity CEO Stephen Schwarzman, have each spoken out against the 76-year-old Trump in recent days.

“I’m not going to give [Trump] a f—ing nickel,” Sabin told CNBC ahead of the 45th president’s campaign launch at Mar-a-Lago on Tuesday.

Sabin, who contributed $120,000 to Trump’s unsuccessful 2020 re-election campaign, blamed the former president for the GOP’s underwhelming performance in last week’s midterm elections, in which Democrats kept control of the Senate and Republicans were on track to record a bare majority in the House.

They'll never get it. And they'll just lie and lie and lie. But if we lie about them, IT'S A WAR. HOW DARE WE!

Like you, I was hoping he wouldn't do this. But he did. The more he goes for DeSantis, the more his votes will go down. Ron is smart enough not to answer his stupid stuff. He'll still just talk about HOW he will do things. I'm also wondering about a VP. Pence won't do it, not sure about Nikki or Tulsi. I don't think anyone in their right mind would take that abuse. God forbid we end up with another Kamala.

Ron already has double-digit leads in (I think?) four states. Every time trump opens his mouth about Ron, that will grow.

The dims will continue to lie about Ron, (as I said earlier) but that's to be expected. He's an actual person that has unified a lot of folks. Which is how he won districts the dims won in the house seats.
