People who say they are voting for Robert F. Kennedy Jr. are probably low-information voters.

For months Republicans have been eagerly looking forward to capturing the House and the Senate. The historical precedence has been that the president's party loses Congressional seats in the midterm elections. Given how close both houses of Congress are, it seemed that McConnell and McCarthy would be getting promotions.

Now it's not a forgone conclusion that the GOP will take over Congress, especially on the 50/50 Senate side. The Dems have a very good shot in Wisconsin and Pennsylvania of turning red Senate seats blue. Mitch McConnell, an astute vote counter and political observer, is lamenting the poor "quality" Republican Senate candidates. These low quality candidates are Trump endorsed.

Much has been made of Republican candidates who did not demonstrate fealty to Trump who lost their primary elections. Republican primary voters tend to be rabid Trumpers. They are not representative of general election voters. Candidates who embraced the Big Lie are not looking so good in the general election. Those losses will be on Trump.

Whatever mystique Trump has in the Republican party will be greatly diminished if the GOP fails to meet expectations in the midterm elections. Trump might be able to fool some of the Republicans into thinking he won the 2020 election, but he cannot fool all of the Republicans all of the time.

pb did a post a couple of months ago pointing out that Trump is cursing the GOP with weak Senate candidates and all but hoping that the loss of the Senate election will sour GOPs on Trump.

Thing is I just listened to Andrew McCarthy and that gay Guy yada yada yada,...

...both firmly anti-Trump GOPs, and they seem feel compelled to stand by their man in light of the unprecedented raid of his home.

And I stand by their right to be stupid.

pb has always, for many, many years, now, steadfastly support your stupidity.

If you're just going to use my word choice against me, why even bother?

You've always been a lazy poster, which is particularly exemplified by your habit of cutting & pasting over and over your own putdowns, but I must say, that last comment of yours was particularly disappointing. If you were charged for every unoriginal thing you posted, you'd be bankrupt by now.

I was merely highlighting your own sanctimony.

It was a 21st century of Pee-wee Herman's, "I know you are but what am I?"

Maybe, now you can grasp how vacant, and brainless, calling someone stupid is, but then...

I'm thinking that And I stand by their "right to be stupid." is pretty non inclusive. So you're including everyone you don't agree with...
