In 2020 real progressives aren't congratulating themselves for being more progressive than thou. Real progressives are patriots who cast their vote to hurt Trump the most. Trump claimed this week that the election will be rigged and floated the idea of postponing it. Trump obliquely threatened litigation to challenge the outcome. Real progressives won't let that happen.
Real progressives will cast their votes en masse so that Trump's loss is indisputable. It needs to be more than an electoral college win but a popular vote shellacking in every state so that the rejection of Trumpism is permanent.
Real progressives know that this election must repudiate Trump's authoritarian impulses and desires. Real progressives won't cast their votes for a boutique candidate whose name will be forgotten by next December. Real progressives will vote for Biden and every Democrat on their ballot. Then with the Republicans out of power real progressives will demand progressive reform and action.
Real progressives won't let anything or anyone stop them from voting and they make sure their progressive friends vote. Real progressives register to vote and follow their state's guidelines and cast their vote as soon as possible. Real progressives reject Trump's fear-mongering about vote-by-mail. They vote by mail if their states allow it. No matter how they vote, real progressives vote.
