"I’m having a hard time wrapping my head around it," Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) said to the Supreme Court nominee Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson on the second day of her confirmation hearings.

I can imagine how not all cases of pornography are the same.

Say for example an 18 year-old Brett Kavanaugh was convicted of possessing surreptitiously taken nude photos of a 16 year-old Christine Blasey Ford. Is that the same as a man aged 50 having nude photos of an 11 year-old boy or girl?

Is there a difference between parents having photos of their infant or toddler naked in the bathtub versus a stranger having a collection of the same sort of photos of naked infants and toddlers?

Republican senators may not be able wrap their heads around it, but I can understand why there are distinctions in cases and differences in sentencing.
